Spread over a massive area of 2000 acres, Khao Kheow Open Zoo is home to around 8,000 animals and a must-see attraction in Pattaya if you are a wildlife enthusiast.
The zoo has been divided into thematic zones, namely the African Savannah with animals like zebras, impalas, springboks, oryxes, giraffes, rhinos and ostriches; Cats Complex Park with 48 species belonging to the cat family placed in separate ecosystems, from grasslands, deserts, lands, woodlands, wetlands to mountains; Walk-Through Aviary with 80 different bird species with streams, ponds, waterfalls and plants, and Eld’s Deer Park where people can interact with the deer population.
