The Sugar Museum and Factory, one of the oldest production sites in the country was formerly used to produce sugar which was the main economic crop of Mauritius and later turned into a museum.
An interactive tour of this historic site will take you through the workings of vast machineries and certainly be a great knowledge addition. At the end of the tour, visitors are allowed to participate in sugar and rum tastings.
